Nutraferon ONCORUB Cream

It is designed for intact skin experiencing radiation-induced erythema (redness), xerosis (dryness), dry desquamation (peeling), and itching during or after radiotherapy, as well as superficial thermal/sunburn irritation.

Proactive application from the start of radiotherapy (or at the first sign of dryness/redness, as directed by your radiation oncologist) helps preserve stratum corneum hydration and delay barrier breakdown.

When radiation dermatitis progresses to open blisters or weeping skin (moist desquamation), the protective outer skin layer is gone. Applying a non-sterile cosmetic cream containing Urea and Lactic Acid onto raw dermis causes acute stinging and increases infection risk; moist desquamation requires sterile medical wound care prescribed by your radiation oncologist.

Thick layers of topical cream on the skin during irradiation can act as a superficial tissue "bolus" that slightly shifts the surface radiation dose to the epidermis. Always apply the cream after your daily session and at least 2–4 hours before the next session.

Allow the thin layer to absorb completely before dressing to avoid faint botanical/curcumin transfer onto light-colored cotton garments. Patients with allergies to Almonds (tree nuts) or Asteraceae/Compositae family plants (such as Marigold/Calendula) should perform a patch test or consult their physician before use.
