Description
Nutraferon MOXINDIA Injection – Overview
Nutraferon MOXINDIA 1.2 g Injection is a sterile, hospital-grade parenteral bactericidal combination pairing the semi-synthetic aminopenicillin Amoxicillin Sodium (equivalent to 1000 mg Amoxicillin) with the irreversible β-lactamase inhibitor Potassium Clavulanate (equivalent to 200 mg Clavulanic Acid) in a 5:1 ratio. Engineered for inpatient hospital wards, intensive care units, emergency medicine, and perioperative surgical prophylaxis, it delivers immediate 100% intravenous bioavailability against β-lactamase-producing Gram-positive, Gram-negative, and anaerobic pathogens when oral therapy is unfeasible or rapid systemic tissue saturation is required.
Many common hospital and community bacteria produce β-lactamase enzymes that hydrolyze and inactivate standard penicillins before they can eradicate the infection. In Nutraferon MOXINDIA 1.2 g Injection, Potassium Clavulanate acts as a protective suicide inhibitor that permanently neutralizes Ambler Class A β-lactamase enzymes, restoring and expanding Amoxicillin’s bactericidal spectrum across respiratory, urinary, intra-abdominal, pelvic, bone, and skin/soft-tissue infections.
