Nutraferon PSR FORTY Injection

• Strictly Intravenous (IV) Hospital Administration Only: Administered exclusively by qualified physicians or nurses. Never administer intramuscularly or subcutaneously.
• Reconstitution & Administration Protocols:

• 2-Minute Direct IV Injection: Reconstitute the 40 mg vial with 10 mL of sterile 0.9% Sodium Chloride (yields 4 mg/mL) and inject slowly over at least 2 minutes.
• 15-Minute IV Infusion: Reconstitute with 10 mL of 0.9% Sodium Chloride, then dilute further in 100 mL of 0.9% Sodium Chloride or 5% Dextrose (yields ~0.4 mg/mL) and infuse over 15 minutes.
• High-Dose Peptic Ulcer Bleeding Protocol (After Endoscopic Haemostasis): Typically an 80 mg IV bolus (two 40 mg vials) followed by a continuous infusion of 8 mg/hour for 72 hours (or 40 mg IV every 12 hours), then stepped down to oral `70-Nutraferon PSR 40MG TAB`.

• Critical IV Line Incompatibility & Zinc Precaution: Never mix or co-infuse through the same line with other medications, midazolam, or parenteral nutrition (high alkaline pH 9.0–10.5 causes precipitation); always flush the IV line with 0.9% NaCl or 5% Dextrose before and after. 

Note: Lyophilized Pantoprazole IV formulations containing edetate disodium (EDTA) chelate zinc ions—consider zinc supplementation in patients on prolonged IV therapy or TPN.
