Nutraferon SODAX 500MG Tablets

Healthy kidneys excrete daily metabolic acid and regenerate bicarbonate. In CKD, acid builds up in the blood (metabolic acidosis, serum HCO3− < 22 mmol/L), which breaks down muscle, weakens bones, and accelerates kidney scarring. Nutraferon SODAX 500 mg directly restores blood bicarbonate balance.

Uric acid crystallizes into stones in acidic urine (pH < 5.5). Raising urine pH to 6.5–7.0 converts uric acid into soluble urate salt so it washes out harmlessly in the urine.

Each 500 mg Sodium Bicarbonate tablet contains ~137 mg (~6 mEq) of elemental Sodium. Patients with hypertension, congestive heart failure, oedema, or severe oliguric renal failure must have their blood pressure, weight, and dietary salt intake monitored by their nephrologist.

Sodium Bicarbonate neutralizes stomach acid. If taken at the same time as an enteric-coated tablet (like `PSR 40MG TAB` or `MYTRANS-S 360 TAB`), the higher stomach pH causes the enteric coating to dissolve prematurely in the stomach, and it also blocks the absorption of oral iron, tetracyclines, and antifungal tablets.

Neutralizing stomach acid releases carbon dioxide gas (CO2), which can cause transient belching or fullness. Additionally, combining chronic high doses of Sodium Bicarbonate with high-dose calcium carbonate or dairy intake can cause Milk-Alkali Syndrome (hypercalcemia, metabolic alkalosis, and acute kidney injury).
